# Failure while retrieving metadata for table - HIVE with Data Lake

Hi  
I use hive to connect to my data lake  
I can see my different schemas and tables but I cannot see the informacion.  
When I set the "Hive Metastore"  
I insert the host and port: 9083, I coul not insert any credential.

Could you help me?

This most likely happens when your hive table location is pointing to a folder that contains another folder instead of the actual data files

Hi  
I was able to fix my problem  
I added in my /etc/hosts ip and domain from data lake
