# How Dremio works with HDFS Data source

This error looks similar to the one posted on [Unable to retrieve metadata info from HDFS using Dremio](https://community.dremio.com/t/unable-to-retrieve-metadata-info-from-hdfs-using-dremio/293/10). Can you detail which Hadoop distribution you are using?
