# How to Create Physical Data Set using API or SQL?

I know we can create virtual data set using CREATE VDS command, is that possible to create physical data set too using API or SQL query ?

I can’t seem to find the info anywhere

what I want to do is quite simple.

- upload a new data file to s3.
- using dremio to import it.
