# Refresh reflection from API

Often dremio go down and i need to recreate all the reflections.  
Every time it happens i clear and create manually all the reflection from the UI.  
Is it possible to recreate the reflections with the API ?

Hi,

The reflection API is documented [here](http://docs.dremio.com/rest-api/reflections/).

If the reflections are marked as invalid because they failed to refresh 3 times, you can also disable and enable them to have them rebuilt - no need to redefine them.
