# Rename PDS and PDS creation from s3

Hi, Is there any way where we can rename an existing PDS created out of an s3 folder. Also, can we create a pds with name other than s3 folder name via cloud API.

I could not find a way to do the above. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

You can alias the PDS with a VDS that does a select \* on top of the PDS.
