# Resource Allocation for queries

Hi,

What are the different queues created in dremio by default?  
How is a query assigned into different queues and what are the evaluation criteria? Are there specific properties set according to the queue\_id in which the query is assigned, e.g. timeouts, min/max memory, etc.?

Can we manipulate the queue\_id or the parameters associated with it somehow?

The configuration of queues is currently an enterprise only feature. More information here - [https://docs.dremio.com/advanced-administration/workload-management.html](https://docs.dremio.com/advanced-administration/workload-management.html)

To answer your questions though - the queue is assigned depending on the type of job and the cost of the job. Yes - you can set specific properties based on the query assignment/timeouts/memory/etc (but again enterprise only feature).
