# Source table data changes when doing changes in the dremio dataset?

Connect the database table to dremio dataset. Does any changes done in dremio dataset affects the database table as well ?

Hi @Deepika

Changes done at the dremio level does not alter the base tables. You can save the transformations at the  
Dremio level. We have a separate feature where you can write back query results as PARQUET back to HDFS/ADLS/S3
