Hi,

we have OSS 25.2.0 with Nessie catalogue.
we perform regular table updates (full refresh) and the allocated disk space is exploding 🙂
when I run
vacuum catalogue nessie;
it removes some files, but I don’t have clarity what exactly.
when i try to execute vacuum table, i get an error that **VACUUM TABLE command is not supported for this source**
can you please guide me where / how to setup snapshot expirations and cleanups?

thanks
jaro

HI Bali, we attempted to follow this:

> **[Nessie GC - Project Nessie: Transactional Catalog for Data Lakes with...](https://projectnessie.org/nessie-latest/gc/)**
>
> Project Nessie is a cloud native OSS service that works with Apache Iceberg to give your data lake cross-table transactions and a Git-like experience to data history.

We were able to remove plenty of files, but almost none Data files were removed. There are still data from deleted tables etc.

Can you help us what to try next please?
I need to keep my storage under control.

thanks
Jaro

@jaroslav_marko At this point it looks like Vacuum Catalog is supported and not Vacuum table
