Create a linked server in SQL Server 2019 with ODBC, using Dremio Connector

Hi There,

I’d like to understand, if this is a possible option… Also, if yes, Could you please share (/point me to any documentation etc… or if any known limitation).

So, I’m willing to create a linked server in SQL Server 2019 with ODBC, using Dremio Connector (most likely, 1.5.1) to be able to use OPENQUERY to query datalake

@amukjee Currently Linked Server in SQL Server is not something that is tested and supported

Do we have any alternative guideline how we can utilize dremio (not via UI) connector to communicate with Datalake? Wondering what would be actual purpose of Connector otherwise?

What connector is this? Any links/docs?
