External Token Provider option

Dremio version: v24.1.1 Enterprise
Driver: Arrow Flight SQL JDBC v14.0.2

I have set up my Dremio instance with OpenID/Okta and can log in using either “Dremio Local” credentials or as an Okta user.

I would like to use a JWT token generated from OpenID/Okta to log in to Dremio via a JDBC client similar to what is described on this page for External Token Providers.

I went to Settings, but there is no option for External Token Providers.

I even added the auth.external-token-providers.enabled support key, but there is no difference and External Token Providers does not show.

Appreciate any help.

Hi, this feature was released in Dremio Software starting v24.3.0. Most likely, you are using an older version of Dremio. Please upgrade to the latest version and you will see the option to configure External Token Providers.
