Failed to start Services vCPU limit of 64

Hello everyone,

We are wanting to evaluate Dremio and although we have asked AWS to increase the vCPU limit to 64, we are still seeing the following error:

“Failed to start Services. Failure while starting services. Failure while attempting to run instances. You have requested more vCPU capacity than your current vCPU limit of 64 allows for the instance bucket that the specified instance type belongs to.”

What should we ask AWS to limit the vCPU limit too?

Stephen

Hi @taassm

As mentioned in the error message, this error occurred due to hitting EC2 service quota.

Please visit http://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/ec2-request to request an adjustment to this limit.

Further, you could ask AWS to increase the limit called Running On-Demand All Standard depending upon the instance type you chose in Cloudformation.

Please refer to this documentation to learn more about it.

Thanks,
Payal
