Are there any plans to support Iceberg REST catalogs from Dremio?
Based on the statements made during the last Subsurface, I kind of expected it to be in the 25.1.0 release (or even before that)

Is there a specific rest catalog that you are looking for support of (i.e. Unity, Polaris etc.). Stay tuned for upcoming releases where we are bringing these capabilities to Dremio!

We are waiting for Dremio support before we can move to REST, so we haven’t settled on a specific implementation yet. This is holding us back though, leaving us stuck with Hadoop catalog and our custom Locking mechanism for now.
Probably Polaris, but basically any catalog that implements the Iceberg REST catalog spec. I don’t see why there would be a discrimination
