Is RedHat/CentOS the only Linux distribution supported?

I would like to install the Dremio driver for Linux 64-bit onto a Databricks (Spark) cluster. Can this be done if the cluster’s EC2 instances are Ubuntu? I ask because the only driver for Linux is an .rpm. Are there any pitfalls to be aware of if I use alien to create a corresponding .deb file? The docs for Linux installation don’t mention this approach, will it work?
