Metadata cleanup

I’d like to schedule a periodic cleanup of dremio metadata per https://docs.dremio.com/advanced-administration/metadata-cleanup.html. It says "All cluster nodes are completely shut down. " - If my workers are on YARN , do I need to shut them down too before I do a cleanup?
