Microsoft Power BI - Refresh Failed

Hello everyone, how is it going?

Almost every time I try to update the Power BI data received from Dremio, an update error occurs while processing the data in the dataset.

How can I solve this problem?

@lcandido Looks like Power BI is unable to reach the Dremio server, few things to check

  • Make sure the ODBC port is configured to 31010, if you do not see an entry in dremio.conf then it is 31010
  • Can you try to connect via a different tool, something like even JDBC, like DBeaver
  • Ping Dremio server from Power BI host
  • telnet coordinator host port and see if it is open
  • Make sure the Dremio coordinator is up
