NullPointerException in query planner after Oct 13, 2026 update

"After the last update (10-13-26), all queries failed with the error message:

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke com.dremio.exec.planner.decorrelation.DecorrelatorType.ordinal() because the return value of com.dremio.exec.planner.decorrelation.DecorrelationOptions$Options.getDecorrelatorType() is null.

Reviewing the update topics, we note that they are directly related to the fix:

“Fixed an issue where query decorrelation didn’t preserve the correct decorrelation key.”

  2. Failed Job ID: A Job ID from any of the failed queries.

  3. Previously successful Job ID: Could you confirm whether the same queries were working before the update? If so, please share a Job ID from a successful execution for comparison.

  4. Scope of the issue: Are all queries failing, including a simple query such as SELECT 1, or only specific queries?
