Windows 10 installs, but fails to start

When I try to start Dremio, I’m getting the following error.

com.dremio.common.exceptions.UserException: Failure while configuring source [__support]. Info: Unavailable: File C:/tmp/dremio-support does not exist

I created the file manually, but getting a different error:

 ERROR c.dremio.common.CatastrophicFailure - Catastrophic Failure Occurred, exiting. Information message: Failed to start services, daemon exiting.
com.dremio.common.exceptions.UserException: Unknown source INFORMATION_SCHEMA

Is this a fresh clean install or an upgrade?

Also, the error seems a bit similar to this other thread - Unable to start: "Dremio is not running" after clicking start on Windows 10
Maybe try the suggested solution mentioned there?
