Dremio direct query doesn't work in Power BI web

I just updated our PowerBI Gateway to the latest version “October 2020 (Release 2)”. I’ve redownloaded the Dremio connector from the Drivers page but it’s still the same version I already had, including the .mez file last modified on 2020-31-08 and not on 2020-01-09 as @ben said earlier.

I’m deploying a Dremio cluster on AWS using the latest version available on AWS Edition (4.9.1) and will report back here with the results as I complete my tests.

Hi,

same issue here. When I download the pbix file from Power BI service then everything works, when I open the report in power BI web then nothing.

Hi @ben, now i have another problem, when i have been configured the Power BI Gateway on my virtual machine it was working.
however, when restarting the virtual machine daily I lose the connection, even though the Power BI Gateway shows up online and the service has gone up in the background on the virtual machine.

Sometimes I get this error [Image 1], which is simply worked around by deleting the report and publishing it again.

And at other times I get a SQL Server incompatibility error [Image 2].

And when I fix error 1, I get this new connectivity error [Error 3].

As we can see [Image 4 and Image 5], the report is linked to a gateway and it is online.

Part 2.

As can be seen, only after I log in to the Power BI Gateway [Image 1] and select the connector option (as it recognizes the customized connector just 5 seconds after selecting the option) the report with DQ (Direct Query) has returned to work [Image 2].

Hi, @Erick ! Can you precisely inform what version of the ODBC Driver you are running, what system you have Dremio installed ( If you have the AWS Edition or on-premises) and what version you are running?

Thanks!
